Founder/Executive Director AfterSchool Ghana

Kinna Likimani is the Founder and Executive Director of AfterSchool Ghana, an NGO that works to improve the educational and social well-being of rural and urban disadvantaged children. She has degrees from Smith College and Columbia University.

Prior to her return to Ghana in 2004, she worked for ten years at Columbia University in the fields of medical informatics and technology transfer.

She is a feminist and a social activist.  She co-founded the Abeadze Women's Development Organization, a rural community organization that seeks to empower women to achieve economic, social and gender justice.  She is also a true fan of the arts and therefore serves as a board member of Mbaasem Foundation, an organization that supports African women writers and their artistic output.

She is the mother of two boys.

About Us

Mentoring Women Ghana is a non-profit organization established in Ghana whose objective is to grow young women through mentoring by more mature and accomplished women, and through sports,  in order to imbue them with leadership qualities with which they can positively impact their communities. Our main programs are Mentoring Walk and Hoop Sistas Club.
